Where do we begin? Well let’s put it this way: Here in Jamaica we are blessed with the awesome beauty and power of Mother Nature.

No sooner had we completed our refurbishing exercise when we were struck by Tropical Storm Nicole.

The Bridge, Pine Pillar Suite, the Massage Hut and the sea side hammock hut were all destroyed. Rock Cottage 1, the pool, The Lodge, The Long House, Sea song Hut and the Garden Building were significantly damaged. Our lush gardens were battered leaving us scantily clad.

We are particularly indebted to all our guests who stayed with us in the first few weeks following the passage of TS Nicole. We thank you for your extra ordinary tolerance as we tried to rebuild while serving you .

All our facilities are fully restored and better that ever as we turned a challenge into an opportunity. We are particularly proud of the new Pine Pillar Suite. It was designed to include a granite bathroom counter top and an eight feet wide balcony door allowing a panoramic ocean view from the majestic bamboo king bed.

As it turns out Sugar, our ridgeback seems to have been faking her pregnancy. Better luck next time Sugar!

Each and every Tuesday evening a short walk down the road will take you to Negril Escape and their new One Love conscious reggae show. A lovely evening starting (on time) at 8pm and ending at the convenient hour of midnight.

Niney is still our oldest employee and gardener exceptional.

The green flash still happens at sunset and in December we had super green flashes three evenings in a row! How many have you seen?

While you lounge in a thatch-shaded comfortable hammock, putting a dent into your favourite author, we are shopping for the freshest vegetables, fish and fruit; we are cleaning your cottage; cooking to your liking; and taking care of your every need.

What’s New?

• This Blog, ‘Tensing Pen Cliffside Notes’ is new, and your participation is encouraged.
• We have had an exciting rework of our menus by Virginia Burke, Author of Eat Caribbean. Dinner reservations are open to the public, so come on in and experience a taste sensation!
• Tensing, our male Ridgeback has finally impregnated our female, Sugar. A beautiful pack of pups are expected in December.
• Our manager, Courtney, has moved on and we will soon announce our new manager.
